Position: MTA-Music Therapist
City or surrounding cities: Burnaby * Client could be seen in their residence, or commute to you/your studio or space
In-person and/or Virtual: In person
Number of hours per week: 1 hour
Types of sessions- Individual
What Resources and instruments are on site: Client and family are very keen and would buy or rent a drum set if necessary!
Wage: $65 – negotiable
Start Date and End Date: As soon as possible
Job Summary:
This client is a 14 year old neurodivergent high school student with low support needs. He is keen on learning to play the drums. He is highly verbal and the MT would preferably be comfortable verbally processing, and have an interest in mental health, and in working with made-vulnerable youth. MT would connect with his parents, as well as his support team at school to gain information and insight into his case, goals and care plan.

I will help you connect with the client and give you more details and support your initial work with them, but it will be your contract, and you will provide billing, insurance, your own instruments etc ☺ I just want to connect this person with a quality music therapist!
