Workshop Description We’ll start with a brief, accessible overview of therapeutic songwriting and trauma-informed care, then move into practical insights and applied examples. Participants will leave with shared language, clinical clarity, and concrete ideas they can use to more confidently frame their work as trauma-informed—particularly in recovery and group settings. Presenter Bio: Supriya Crocker, RCC, MTA Supriya Kalathil Crocker is an experienced music therapist, registered clinical counsellor and educator who values clear communication, curiosity, and meaningful engagement. She enjoys making complex ideas more accessible and clinically useful. Her work spans diverse populations, including autistic children and youth, trauma survivors, and individuals in recovery. Supriya’s teaching emphasizes client-centred practice, cultural humility, and critical thinking, supporting therapists to deepen their skills as reflective, skilled, and compassionate practitioners.
