Job Summary:
Run Weekly, in-person, private music therapy sessions with a high support needs neurodivergent girl, aged 14. This client comes from a low-income, single-mother, immigrant family who are incredibly supportive and supported by their community. All funding would come through MCFD – they already have an autism fund – the MT would have to process their own payments through the ministry. All sessions would preferably be run from their house – near Rupert and Broadway in East Vancouver. Client could potentially transit to a nearby clinic if necessary.
Client is highly musical – it is her main form of expression, joy and entertainment! Goals include: social, expressive, spiritual, cognitive domains. She has received music therapy in the past until the therapist moved out of the city. This is a highly joyous client to work with ☺
